Well for me, when I'm playing a new game I always take my time looking around, getting a feel of the mechanics and checking out every nook and cranny so I'm hoping this works well. Heck, in Skyrim I spent over an hour after the initial opening scene just scouring the area for secrets and loot before venturing out to the nearest town...of which sucked up another hour or so of my time.

Agreed. The key word though is "locked". 30 fps locked is fine. That means during intense action I can expect 30 fps, not 20-25.
Neither was speed when people used horse and buggy. Now, NASCAR and Indy drivers have millions on the line over a few horsepower. I remember the day too but tbh the better a game looks and feels the better for the end user.
Sure a game like demons souls is a top tier game and one of my favorites but looks like ass. If demons souls 2 was in 1080p and had zero jaggies and tons of textures I'd jump for joy.

Agreed. I can easily tell the difference between 720 and 1080 on my 54" LED.
Regardless, what really matters to me are quality games. Don't has proven to me this gen with Uncharted, LBP, GoW, Infamous and Quantic Dreams awesome releases that what is coming down the pipe for next gen will blow me away.
How much have you spent to play online and use party chat for 6 years 350 bucks? Pass.
MS party chat = 60 bucks a year
Sony party chat = free.
I'll go with waiting 3 weeks for free version.
What I do like is the party feature. See, you get buddies all in one chat lobby then go and play killzone. Now all u hear are your teammates/friends. No more screaming brats...ever.
If you're playing a game and others in the lobby are in chat you will not hear them. Chat is a close-ended communication. The only people who can talk AND hear are those in chat. This will actually cut down on noise pollution in lobby's. The more in chat the less talking in lobby.

AFAIK, there is no other next gen console that allows cross game chat to be used for no cost. Isn't LIVE party chat behind a paywall?
Yeah I sit a foot and a half away for every 12" of screen size. My main TV is 54 inch LED and in my recliner I can easily tell the diff from 720 and 1080. Bluray vs DVD is a huuuge difference, too. It not only depends on screen size but the guts of your TV. A rear projection DLP 1080 has same resolution as a OLED or LED but the latter can really make the image and colors pop more.

Between ACBF and killzone alone I'm good from launch til next year. Then in spring the heavy hitters stop dropping. Infamous, watch dogs, destiny and possibly the division. I'm not worried about games I'm worried about missing too much work.
